Light Period on Paragard? Freaking out!!

I got my paragard in May. My first period was horrible. I bled for 8 days and my cramps caused me to be in tears. I am currently freaking out because my period is all weird. The first day that I was supposed to get my period, I had uncomfortable cramping then I bled a little bit of bright blood during the day. The second day, I had minuscule light brown blood and no cramping, and today, the third day, no blood. Should I pregnancy test? Or is this normal for paragard?

I’m on my third paragard period right now and I usually spot brown/Pink on and off for a few days before my period actually starts and in between there would be nothing for some days.  I freaked out too and took pregnancy tests but they all came back negative so I think you should be okay because the iud is highly effective. Especially since this is only your second period on paragard your body is still trying to figure it out. Give it a few more days & if it still hasn’t came I would take a test!
