No. People don’t get 20 years for being an innocent bystander with absolutely no knowledge of what’s going on. If you’re getting 20 years, it’s either for something serious or drug trafficking. Seeing as I only date with a purpose, I wouldn’t be with someone who’s involved in any of that, so if you’re getting locked up, then you’ve clearly been lying to me the whole time or done something unforgivable, in the moment.
I’m as loyal as they come but I’m also young, have no kids and my whole life ahead of me, I cannot be waiting 20 years for my partner to get out. You’re on your own boo.

20 years is a long time - he would’ve had to have done something pretty serious. I suppose it might depend on the circumstances, but I likely wouldn’t want to stay with him. I’ve seen that prison changes people, and 20 years is a huge proportion of your adult life to spend waiting around for somebody.

I would say No because spending a long duration in prison (innocent or guilty) it is a horrific experience for some men and rehabilitating experience for others. After hearing stories of the things that go on in prison, and how the men engage in intercourse and come back home but are not tested, I think. I will say no.
