y’all i need help with wth this means

so i was talking to this guy he’s a great friend of mine and i’m attracted to him a lot. and i was like sorry i look really bad in that photo (talking on snapchat) and he said “no reason to be sorry” and it got me thinking to what he actually meant cause that phrase is different to no need to be sorry like if u get what i mean i just want to know what y’all think was he saying i don’t look bad but didn’t want to say it helpp y’all greatly appreciated :) x
