I went off Camrese in August 2017. On it, I had my period every 3 months, which was glorious. I had been on it for 6 years and wanted to go off basically just to see how it felt to be off of it. I had gained weight and had some emotional instability that I wanted to test if it was due to the pill. I don’t think it was, but I kinda just wanted one last thing to be putting in my body (I’m on medication for high blood pressure as well).

I had a period that August, September, October and then nothing until February and then April. I’m not pregnant - I’ve taken multiple urine tests and had a blood Hcg test that just came back negative. My gyno told me I need to go back on the pill to regulate my period but first is giving me Prometrium which she says will induce a period in 10 days and then I’m to go back on Camrese. I’m wondering 1) if anyone has taken Prometrium, what was your experience with it? She said the period will be extremely heavy and painful. 2) Has anyone had something similar happen to them? Is it possible for the Prometrium to induce a period and then my period to start being regular again without going back on the pill?

This makes me nervous for when I do actually want to get pregnant, with skipping this many periods, that it may be difficult for me to do so when the time comes.
