Am I a bad person?

My man spends our money faster then we make it.. bills are paid (BARELY) his dad has been helping us 😬😞 and he stills spends 100+ a weekend on beer, cigarettes, weed... like it’s crazy and it’s so unattractive. I almost wanna end it. I make comments about how it’s annoying and I try to make him feel bad for the shit... because I WANNA SAVE MONEY! I wanna get ahead in life and he’s only bringing me more behind.. I’m horrible for wanting to break up with him huh?

Then flat out say that you wanna save more money. “I want to save money for our future and I feel like you are more concerned with (A,B,C) than you are about a future with me. Maybe give him examples of times where it’s nice to have extra income. (Car breaks down, medical emergency, have to move suddenly.) If he doesn’t seem to want to grow up with you then no, it’s not terrible of you for wanting to end it with someone who is holding you back.

I don’t think you’re a bad person but I think you need to communicate and try and fix the issue first. When my husband and I first started dating he was HORRIBLE with money. When we moved in together we lived paycheck to paycheck and I can’t live like that, it stresses me out. So we sat down and created a budget. First, when we get paid before anything else comes out if the account we pay bills. We look at what is due until the next pay period and pay it. Then we put money aside for gas and groceries, which are pretty consistent each pay period. Some fluctuations but not much. Then we put some into savings. If there is money left over, we spend it on whatever we want. If there isn’t, then we don’t get to splurge that paycheck. 
You would be surprised how much better we started living. No more surprises. We still get to do what we want and are still saving. Best part was there was no more arguing about money. We both agreed to the plan and knew what was going where so nobody could get mad. 
I say have a conversation first. If he doesn’t want to change or refuses to try it a different way then ok fine leave but you never know how much communicating can help.

You should break up with a him. He’s irresponsible and immature. You aren’t going to get anywhere in life with him holding you back

My fiancé spends money fast like his mom, so I straight up tell him that I won’t help with his portion of the bills if he doesn’t come through.

Sounds like he’s holding you back in life. I wouldn’t even think twice about leaving. Do what’s best for you.
