Was your Dr. willing to do a Stretch/Sweep at 37 weeks? .. I’m miserable over here.

This is my fourth pregnancy my doc has never mentioned doing one and I didn’t know it was a thing til I saw ppl on here talking. A lot of ppl having them done n it isn’t helping.

My midwife won’t even check me until 39 weeks, she says it’s often discouraging and there’s no use for it before then (unless I’m obviously showing signs of labour)

I had a mild one done at 38 weeks. I was 3 cms & 75% effaced. She said he was extremely low and believes he’ll be here before his site date. I have an appt tomorrow (39 weeks 3 days) & she’ll do a full stretch & sweep. Due date is Sunday but will be induced Monday due to GD if he doesn’t come on his own. I can’t wait any longer!

My doctor offered to start doing them at each appt starting at 37 weeks but I declined since I didn’t want to have him before 38 weeks and I didn’t want a Fourth of July baby. Now tomorrow, at 39 weeks I plan on letting her.

I can’t even imagine, I was so super uncomfortable after just having a cervical check at 37 weeks there’s no way I would have made it through the work day. I’ll take the baby making me uncomfortable over that.

Mine will only do it past 40 weeks since studies have proven it mostly doesn’t work any time before that.

yes. I had one done at 37w4d but I'm now 38w3d and still pregnant it didn't work for me. I think I lost all my mucus plug and had bloody show/alot of contractions but baby still didn't come.
