Had my 37 week appointment today & my dr told me I'll probably go over my due date! How many others got this answe?

I was told that at my 39 weeks appointment and gave birth the following day. 
I was told I was closed shut 🤷🏾‍♀️

I assume most people go over their due date. I don’t think it’s unusual. Your body may not be making progress which is why they are assuming you’ll go over. Most everyone I know (including myself) went over their due date.

Seems really strange for him to say that. You could literally be dilated at 0cm today and go into labor tomorrow.

About 70% of first time mums go into labor after their due date. So I don’t see why it would shock anyone to go over.

Weird, I’ve never heard of drs making predictions like this. I always hear them say “we can’t predict when they’re going to come”. My first was 8 days late...but no dr ever predicted that

I am only 33 weeks and went to my appointment and doc says "FTMs usually go two weeks past their due dates, so you will probably have a September baby. 
Like I am 33 weeks, and every baby in my fanily comes early, so I really dont think so doc
