Do you low-key judge people who...

Live with their parents at 25 years old or older?? 
This doesn’t include people who aren’t able to live on their own due to a physical/mental disability, etc. 
I’m wondering because me and my friend were talking about it. What are your opinions?

Situationally, not gonna lie sometimes I do. I know it’s not right but certain times I just feel bad for the parents. I get people who need a hand and want to get their life together or are helping their parents out. Whatever, but some just take advantage. I know someone who lives with her husband and two kids in his parents basement. They’ve never lived anywhere else, he has a great job, and they’re trying for a third child. I mean at some point you just have to take responsibility for yourself and let parents have their well-earned peace.

It can be a cultural thing. In many countries you don’t leave your parents house until you get married. 
I lived with my parents when I was in college. It helped me to graduate with my bachelors debt free. I want back to them when I got divorced for a couple of months while I was able to save for a deposit for an apartment. 
I helped paid bills since i got my first job at 17 and paid for my personal things including clothing since that age as well. So I lived with them but I was buying my own things.  so t is not like they paid for everything. I think is wrong to leach of you parents (or anyone actually) but I don’t think I did that.

Depending where you live and culturally this is totally normal. In some cultures you don't move out until you're married. In some cultures you get married and your parents will move in with you. I also live in the Bay Area, median house price is around 1.6 million and low income is now considered $117k. It's so hard to move out and find a place of your own.. unless you move to a new town or state but that's so hard too. Do I judge sometimes? Yes but I feel like if you're working, or going to school or doing something productive to further your career/life (and your parents are cool with it of course) then I don't see an issue with staying with your parents.

It’s just weird to me. I’ve been out of my moms since I was 19 and trust there were times I really struggled but it was always so important to me to be independent. I would never wanna live with my mom just to make thing easier financially. Don’t get me wrong I love my mom but would rather die than to go backwards like that. My close friend still lives at home and I swear she still acts like a teenager and is so immature in so many ways  (we’re 28)

I did until I got married but they were like this town is small save your money stay here. I worked, went to school, paid for all my stuff. I didn’t pay rent but kept the house clean. Now if you’re at home at 25+ and doing absolutely nothing, no job, no school etc then I start to have a problem with it.

I don’t think 25 is old to be at home these days. 30 and up, yes. But it depends on the circumstances. I know after I graduated college, I had to move back in with my mom. I couldn’t find work in the town my college was in and my mom lived in the country a few hours away where there were no job opportunities. I was sort of stuck. I had no car, no job, nothing—and was pretty depressed about it. I decided to apply for grad school two hours away and stay on campus again... but I met my husband and things happened fast... I ended up moving in with him and getting a job and getting stable. I was 25 at the time. I said all of that because you really don’t know anyone’s circumstances. And you never know when life can hit you and you end up having to move back in with your parents. Of course it’s not ideal, but stuff happens...
