Eating
So I'm never a big eater while pregnant. I have to force myself to eat food. This is my 3rd pregnancy but my 1st with gestational diabetes. (I wasn't surprised, I have almost ever check mark for it). My doctor and I agreed that we'll see how i do with diet first as I'm 32+2weeks and don't want insulin. So they want me to eat 3 meals and then 3 snacks. Sweet baby Jesus. I've had to wake up early so I can get breakfast in me. I wasn't hungry at all but forced myself to eat. (2 yogurt cups 25g carbs total which they want me to have 30g but I figured for my first day this was okay). My fasting blood sugar was a wee high 5.9 instead of 5.2 or under. Is it wrong that I'm not too bothered by this level? I think I'm having to retrain myself from what I know of diabetes normally (MIL has it and my husband and I constantly have to educate her because she is the worst diabetic ever lol) vs. gestational. I'm exhausted thinking about how much food they want me to eat.
