We have a 6 yo and 3 yo. A year ago he asked if I wanted another baby. I thought for a month or two and told him I wanted another baby. He said “surprise me.” Fast forward one year and the discussion came up again a few months ago and he initially was all for it, then quickly shifted saying “I’m not there yet.” Mother’s Day I shared with him that I feel someone is missing, shared the “signs” that I have seen/experienced that we are to have another baby. We have not been preventing, he is aware of this, and I have let him initiate sex so as to not control the situation. I took a positive pregnancy test. Actually 6, because I wanted to make sure make sure. I was very surprised as the last time we had sex before the positive test (which happened to be Father’s Day) was not in my fertile window at all - I must have ovulated early! Now I’m anxious to tell him as I’m not sure the response I will get.
