Have you implemented a sleep schedule/routine?
I have read so much about sleep routines and schedules, and have heard of other mums using these. I currently just breast feed on demand with my 10 week old and put her to sleep when she seems sleepy. She doesn’t really sleep much in the day, but we are getting a solid 4-5 hours in a row at night, then another 3-4 hours after that feed and another 2-3 hours again after the last feed. The problem is this all starts anywhere from 10pm - 2am for the first big sleep depending on how she is feeling. I don’t like the randomness of it and I also feel like she isn’t getting enough sleep in total since she sleeps maybe another 2-3 hours in the day max and can be fussy late at night (but this is getting less with time) I don’t want to be strict on a routine and I don’t want to sleep train specifically this early, but other people seem to be doing it and I’m wondering if it might actually be good for her to force more sleep. Thoughts and comments appreciated!
