Possible to have planned c section through the nhs?

K8y

I'm just wondering if anyone of you guys managed to get a elective c section on the nhs? reason I'm asking is I pudendal neuralgia which is nerve damage in the nerve of on my pelvic floor that helps you to pee, have a orgasom and have a bowl movements. I have lived in debilitating vaginal/pelvic pain since I was 13 and lived on morphine tablets and other things to cope (yes it really really sucked!!)and I'm 23 now and this year me and my husband would love to try for a baby next year as I've been doing better with my pain this last 2 years,I'm on very low amounts of pain meds and I'm finally feeling like I have a life as my pains been more in control now and due to counseling I'm doing a lot better with dealing with my mother and mother-in-law (if you don't know what I'm talking about look in my previous posts, also thanks to you all for your lovely messages they also helped me alot!)

since thinking about children I've been wondering how I'd get on having a baby with my ''issues''.lol and came across a few studies that prove people in my situation are wise to go the c section root as a vaginal birth could add more truma to my already trumatized nerve,it's not really the way I've dreamed of having a baby, I'd love to do things naturally as I think it's so amazing and special but if this means I get to keep my pain issues relatively stable (l don't mind as I want to be able to be a god mom and this condition has already has taken so many things away from me that I don't want to risk being really Ill again as I've worked so hard to be able to get to were I am now health wise.

I talked to a Dr about this and I don't think she understood and thought I was just scared of giving birth and said I will have to wait till I get pregnant and get to talk to a midwife.

I'm guna see a pain specialist who knows about pudendal nerve damage (there's so few that have even heard of it as it's rare and the last one I saw who dignosed me didn't know as much as this new Dr that's why I'm waiting to see this other one. ) to get his opinion but untill then I'd like to see if anyone had any else managedto have a elective c section on the NHS as I dunno if it will be hard to get one as it's not for live saving Reason'.xxx
