10 weeks. I waited until after my doctor cleared me and I was comfortable having sex.

7 weeks. I had a 2nd degree tear and I was cleared at 7 weeks. I wanted to wait for that because of the risk of infection. We only had sex like twice in 2 months. I'm almost 4 months post now and the area that tore is still a bit tender but not too bad. We just use a lot of lube and take it slow at the start. Try not to overdo it.
