How long to wrap a tattoo?

Question

Recently got a fair sized piece on my leg. Artist said to keep wrap on for 3/4 days? 
Some reason that doesn’t sit right with me! It’s been over 24 hours, oozing seems to have stopped. I feel as if I should take it off? 
Wrapped with plastic. Same material used for canulars.

If its tattooderm 24 hours if its just plastic wrap a few hours. 3/4 days seems a bit much. I have 13? Tattoos and never leave them wrapped for more then a few hours aside from when they use the tattoo derm

I have around 50 and I only keep them wrapped overnight. Any longer and it’ll just be too saturated and the healing process will suck. Clean it in the shower, use A&D;, Aquaphor, whatever you prefer for 3 days, then just let it peel and dry out. If it feels tight put a very light layer on it. 🤗

I just got my thigh done and I wrapped it for 2 days after and just was careful the 3rd with bending down and such. I'm a cashier. I checked it on my breaks. let it air as much as possible. soon as my shift was over I took the wrap off and made sure it could breath by wearing shorts

Seems like a long time. I’ve always been told to take it off in 4-6 HOURS and then wash with antibacterial soap and then an antibiotic ointment for a few days and then cetaphil for dryness.

The tattoo artist who did your tattoo knows more than us. Listen to him.

I would probably call to double check if you don't feel sure. I personally have 6 tattoos and have never had to keep it wrapped more than a few hours/at night, they always told me to just keep the stuff they gave me on it and keep it clean during the healing process.
