Why does a girl transition to a boy, then date a girl who likes girls?

I seen this YouTube video of a girl who transitioned Into a boy, and a boy transition into a girl. And they’re together.

Why not be together normally how you were born?

I knew this guy who said he was a woman. I said I was okay with that and called her, her, and called her by her name. I never thought to ask. She said she’s a lesbian because she likes girls. But she was genetically born a male. So she would be considered straight. Please help me. I’m trying to understand but don’t know how.
