Has anyone used pure CBD oil during pregnancy? If so what was your experience and how did baby turn out?

I have been suffering really badly with morning sickness. I decided to try a little CBD oil I had on had for relief and it worked!! I have tried doing my own research and mostly it seems safe but I’m looking for real experiences. Please note I am NOT talking about marijuana I’m talking about pure CBD which is THC (psychoactive) free.

My doctor told me cbd was not safe to use during pregnancy when I asked. I love to use cbd oil for period cramps works so good for me . Your best bet is to always ask your doctor because the internet has alot of conflicting info and there really are not many studies on it which is why it's typically not recommended but your doctor may be okay with it its always worth asking them.

Probably gonna get some negative comments on this but I honestly don't trust any pharmaceuticals during pregnancy. I try every natural method first. I do a ton of research but I for the most part ignore any government agencies warnings because 1. they can't test it on pregnant women and 2. natural methods don't make them any money. I use CBD oil in a salve for my back and feet. I have seen CBD oil do amazing things for so many people. I know women who smoked marijuana there entire pregnancy (not endorsing) and there babies are perfectly healthy. The fact is doctors don't actually know if its bad but they can't test it and it won't make them any money. There's so many unknowns about pregnancy that everyone of us in some way is a guinea pig. Fact is you decide what you are comfortable with during your pregnancy.

I used CBD almost my whole pregnancy with my daughter because I was so sick and couldn’t eat anything . I started using the cbd and it helped so much ! I only gained 10 lbs during my pregnancy with her. And my daughter is  now 8 months and she is so smart and beautiful I wouldn’t have done anything different in my pregnancy! 😊

Considering all the “safe” meds for nausea are linked to birth defects then I don’t see why it would hurt to try. Maybe try to use it as little as you need, and the oil will be better than smoking 🤷🏻‍♀️

The only thing i would personally worry about is testing positive for THC. CBD oil can contain small amounts of THC and still ne legal. i think it has to be less than .3 % or something like that. You could potentially fail a drug test even with such a small amount of THC. It all depends on how often you are using it and how much. If you are using an isolate cbd oil, you are much less likely to have any THC. If it is a full spectrum cbd oil, it will contain a small amount of THC. You should be able to look on the website of the company that makes the oil you are using. If it is a reputable company, they will provide 3rd party testing on the oils they produce. You can usually look up the batch number to see how much THC and other things are in there. The  only reason I would personally avoid  using cbd oil during pregnancy is the possibility of failing a drug test. If you fail a drug test while you are pregnant, it could be very bad. CPS could get involved and that just gets messy.  I use CBd oil every day. But if i were to get pregnant again, i would not use it. I just dont want to take any chances.

my ex sister in law smoke weed through out her whole pregnancies. two healthy baby girls. Do I personally agree with it. No THC is bad for your baby. but if there is no thc what is the real harm I haven't found that answer.

I don’t think there’s a study on this yet but here’s my theory. So the brain has endocannabinoids in it, and I would think by exposing your baby to increased amounts, it would affect how many the baby actually produces on their own during stages of critical brain development. I’m sure there will be actual scientific studies supporting or refuting that in the near future, but I don’t think it’s a far jump from what I learned in neurobiology about THC/CBD and the brain. 
I’m a stoner normally but have refrained from any marijuana byproducts during pregnancy. I also do studies like this for a living, but it’s unethical to study pregnant women so unfortunately studies can’t be done until children are old enough to see the effects, and many people were too ashamed (or scared) to confess to using marijuana or CBD during pregnancy until recently. I wouldn’t risk doing anything that doesn’t have medical support or evidence, but I do hope your morning sickness gets better soon. I was getting sick about 7 times a day until 10-11 weeks then it improved.
