Do you agree with city bylaws for noise?

I have horrible neighbours, I never had to look into the actually bylaw for noise; until now.

Basically the bylaw says anything between 11pm-7am is classified as “disturbing the peace” and the bylaw then can be used against you.

Now it’s approximately 1 AM here. I am 32 weeks pregnant, and I don’t work tomorrow. But they are playing super loud music, laughing, shouting and every once and a while someone bangs into my trash cans, along side MY HOUSE. I have contemplated calling the cops, but because I know they have guests over I feel bad. But at the same time I live in a detached home and I can hear them clearly.

Do you think the bylaw is excessive or that it’s good to have? Also how do you feel about people who complain?
