"Clomid cycle" buddies??

Question

Anyone starting their first round of clomid in the next 2 days? Want to be "medically induced cycle" buddies? Having PCOS with irregular cycles has made me feel so lonely every time I've scrolled over the huge "Cycle Buddies" group this past year 😔
So excited to finally be starting treatment on Monday! 😁

How are you feeling? Have you taken ovulation tests or anything? I used first response opks, and got a positive yesterday. So we will see what the next couple of weeks bring ☺️

Well, not sure if anyone's still checking this, but I'll update anyhow. Thought I got a positive FRER this morning but most people who saw the pics think it's an indent. Never had one of those on a FRER but clearly many others have. Took another later in the day with about the same result, so maybe a bad box. Sniffles and sneezes driving me crazy, and I'm SOOO tired. Even more than I usually am during luteal phase. Like, going up the stairs hurts as though I've been working out all day. Granted if these were pregnancy symptoms, that implies I'd have enough hcg in my system for a bfp. Probably just coming down with a cold, but I'll keep testing for the hell of it. Just 8 dpo today.

Me!! I just started day 1 of clomid today! 50mg. First cycle for me, and they had to induce my period with provera. I would love to have someone to talk to! ☺

Good luck!! I have pcos and am on my tww after the second round of provera and clomid. Fingers crossed that I don’t have to go to my reproductive endocrinologist appointment this week! If you need to vent or just want to talk let me know!

Turns out I had two HUGE cysts--about 37 mm wide. Looked like I was about to ovulate within hours, but I'd been feeling them for so many days now that I asked if a trigger shot would be an option. My doctor said "we can do that. It's going to hurt a lot though." I decided I'd rather deal with a little more pain and do everything in my power to ensure those eggs released this month, since she also said if these cysts didn't release eggs or disappear, I'd have to take a month off from treatment. Not what I wanted to hear, but I know she's right. She's been doing this a very long time, and yet says I'm "interesting, but we'd rather you just be interesting in better ways." We had a good laugh over that. She also said we should probably try femara instead of clomid next time. I don't know much about that drug. Anyone on here been on it?
Well, she was right about the trigger hurting. The injection itself didn't--and j injected myself which I'm pretty proud of. The nurse who helped me said I probably wouldn't start hurting until the next day, so I decided to do some grocery shopping on my way home. Well, the first pain hit me at Kroger and if j hadn't had a shopping cart to keep me steady j would've been on the floor. I mean, damn!! From that point forward it got steadily worse until I felt like I had sharp bricks where my ovaries should be and every little movement caused more pain. The 2nd day (yesterday) was definitely the worst though. I got through my day with my students, but when I got home I couldn't stand up straight, or get myself up from the sofa. I ended up needing to lean on a cane to walk around without agony. The pain radiated all the way to my back. Had some GI Chron's-like spasms, too. And my thumb developed trigger finger, which may be a coincidence, but I have to wear a brace for a few days. And it was my poor dh's birthday. He spent it taking care of me, though he never complained and insisted on doting on me so sweetly. I'm usually the grin and bare it type, but I leaned on him a lot--both literally and figuratively. I did insist on going out to get him torchy's for his birthday, though. I'd offered to cook, but that's what he said he was craving. 
We were still able to BD last night, though he was reluctant for fear he'd hurt me. I insisted that all this pain WOULD NOT be for nothing. We were careful and I feel much better today, other than fatigued and a little sore, and my damn thumb. No more cane though, so I'm happy. 
Oh, and since I had an hcg injection, I figured I'd test out the cheapie pregnancy tests I've been using. They've all given a faint but obvious line, so they work ok I guess. Pregmate One Step, for anyone who's interested. Also did an opk (same brand) for a comparison. Test line on THAT was darker than I ever thought they could go!! Wow. So although I know you should never use an opk as an hpt, I can definitely see why some do. They definitely pick up on hcg with great sensitivity.

So I guess that's it for now. Hopefully all this pain will pay off this month. And since I've got hcg artificially in my system, at least I won't be tempted to run out and start buying FRERs at 7 dpo again. I'll have false positives until at least 10 dpo.

Well, I'm back at my RE's for another ultrasound. I've been having ovary pain since cd6, and it intensified on cd11 and has stayed that way... Now on cd14. Af was so light last time too, so I'm going to ask about that. Hope I haven't developed anymore cysts. Seems weird for o pain to last this long though, and once again I haven't been able to catch an LH surge even with 3 opks a day plus reducing my water intake. How're you doing, Solomon? Any new developments?

Have any of y'all had any pain during your follicular (pre-ovulation) phase during a clomid cycle? I'm having some. It's very mild--I pretty much just feel it when I sit down quickly--but it's on both sides, near where my ovaries are. I know hyper stimulation is a potentially very dangerous risk with clomid, and I've got a high pain tolerance due to life-long chronic illness, so I'd rather mention it than tough it out quietly. If it gets any worse I'll of course all my doctor, but I wondered if anyone else had experienced something similar.

I have only just heard about clomid from a friend... I have been TTC for 5 years and the doctor has never mentioned this to me.. I have PCOS and Underactive thyroid.. I have an appointment booked to ask the doctor about it but I worried they will say no.. ...
