How long before meeting your significant other?

Hello! I just joined this app and found this group and I'm so happy I did! My boyfriend lives in England and I live in the US (Michigan) and we've been together for four months. We met online so haven't met in person yet, so I know it's different than some of the relationships in this group but I've seen a few like this already. We are so in love and I want nothing more than to actually be with him. I know four months isn't long, but it's been making both of us pretty sad recently that we don't know when we'll be able to meet, mostly due to money. I was wondering if anyone is in a somewhat similar situation and how long they were with their SO before they met in person? Or how long they've been together even though they haven't met? I know we have a while to go, but it makes me feel better hearing from other people who understand the situation. Thanks!!
