Do you think there should only be a certain amount of names you can choose from 🤷‍♀️

Everyone always complains how parents are trying to be unique with names... well do you think there should be a barrier or limitation of names you can choose from.

I don't think anyone is actually complaining about unique names. There's a difference between naming your child an actual unique name, like Saffron, and naming them something made-up or spelled in the most complicated way, like KVIIIlyn (Katelynn), Moon Unit, Myking or Pilot Inspektor. KVIIIlyn is going to be confused as hell learning to spell her name and Myking will have a hard time finding a job with a boss willing to address an employee as My King. If Moon Unit and Pilot Inspektor didn't have famous parents, their lives would probably be made very hard by their names.

Some countries have name lists you can pick from. I think that’s a little too far. It won’t stop me from rolling my eyes at wacky names but people can pick whatever they want. Doesn’t have an effect on my life.

In some countries it’s actually the law that your babies name has to be on the list. In America we don’t have such a law. But I think there is too much freedom sometimes. But hey,  that’s the beauty of the USA.

Ummmm what? No. Do you not enjoy living in a free country?? The government has no business making medical decisions for us and certainly not choosing which names we can name our kids. This is an insane thought.
