What kind of birth are you planning on?

If I can do it without meds- great. If I get to a point where I feel like I want meds- great. If I get to a point where I want an epidural- great! I'm going with the flow and aiming for a healthy and safe delivery.

I’m hoping for a VBAC for my second, though that’s still two years out. Until then my first was a planned c-section happily.

I plan on going as far as I can without meds. If I need an epidural, I’ll get it. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so I want to see how far I can go. I just want to be on as little drugs as possible because I don’t like not being in control of my body. I know that sounds weird, but oh well! Haha!

My first I started out fine unmedicated and then a disc in my back popped out and nothing compared to that pain. I didn’t even feel contractions in comparison so ended up with the epidural otherwise it would have been a Caesar. 
This time around getting induced with an early epidural because the disc has been popping out since 15 weeks and the risk is high it will happen again - but I now have a toddler and am at home  on my own during the day so want to avoid an emergency situation.

I’m gonna see how it goes. After my induction and labor coming in at 50 something hours I asked for the epidural. Damn thing only worked on my stomach so vaginally I felt everything. I’ve heard it’s because my hospital stops one vertebrae short of going all the way, because it has better outcomes. 🤦‍♀️ I was told I’d still feel pressure. But instead I felt it all.
 
I still have a numb spot on my right leg from it also (two years later).
