anybody else?

Question

I feel terrible but I don't feel connected to this pregnancy at all. I have talked to my doctors about it and they say it's normal. Does anybody else feel this way?

That's how I sort of feel. Like all these moms are taking pics of their bumps every week and writing every small detail of what they are feeling. I'm over here like 🤷 meh.

Completely normal! I remember feeling the same with my first, and I feel it this time too. I want this baby, she was planned, and in theory I'm ecstatic. Buuut, I feel totally disconnected from her right now, and I expect not to really feel fully bonded for a day or 2 after birth, thats part of why breastfeeding is so important to me because I know it helped me feel bonded with my first kiddo. I enjoy feeling her moving around in there and I know I'd do anything for her, the bond just isnt there yet, and thats okay, no matter what any one might say.

I feel this way about my pregnancy. I didn’t with my first but I found it very hard to bond once he was born so I’m hoping that this time around not being connected in the womb will give me more connection when she is born.

I felt like that with my first. I had like no connection with my daughter. And it wasn’t an instant connection the second she came out either. It took me a few hours and some actual alone time with her before I felt some connection. It wasn’t until we were home that I felt a full connection. I loved her and would’ve done anything for her when I was pregnant but I didn’t feel the connection everyone talks about. It’s completely normal.
