Movie ratings

Lighthearted debate in honor of the shit CC has been recently, lmfao

Hypothetically as a parent (or if you already are one), would you allow your children to watch movies if their ages were too young for the ratings?

For example,

- a 12 year old wants to watch a PG-13 movie

or

- a 16 year old wants to watch a rated R movie

Does it depend on how close to the “recommended” age the kids are? Does it depend on their maturity? The movie itself?

Or are you all or nothing?
