Second baby

Friday I went back to the fertility clinic to be put on metformin for pcos since this worked when conceiving my first. They did the ultrasound again and said this time there was no sign of pcos so no metformin but I can’t be ovulating because of how long my periods are apart. I have been doing ovulation tests and it had said I peaked Wednesday-Thursday so I was surprised when she said that there was no signs of ovulation on the scan. She also said ovulation tests are a waste of money. I’m now waiting to do a blood test next week to see if that shows I’ve ovulated before being put on clomid if I haven’t. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I’m happy there’s no signs of pcos but I just thought it would be the same as last time since the metformin worked after 2 years of trying and a miscarriage the metformin worked in 3 months. Now I’m back to being scared I’ll miscarry and that’s if I’m even ovulating at all! Sorry for the long post x
