planning baby shower too early???

the place I want is booking fast and I want it at the end of October. they want me to book it now. is that too early? lol I don't want to jinx anything or seem like a crazy person. I just don't wanna lose the venue! lol opinions???

Doing mine for the same time! Booking venue in August

I told my parents that we were expecting @6 weeks.. my mom booked it the next day just to get the venue. It was SUPER early especially being before first trimester was over, but there’s no harm to make sure it’s the right place! Also gives you something fun to plan and look forward to.

My mom plans on doing mine in October also. Mainly because of the holidays and our sons birthday in November. We don’t want to overwhelm the guest during the holidays.
