My mother in law just informed us she's taking a week off work and staying in a hotel near us when we have the baby so she can be over here all the time. We don't have a guest bed so at first I was just so grateful she was expecting to stay in a hotel I didn't say anything. But now that I've had time to thing about it, I have some major issues. The largest being I have 2 big (80 lb) rambunctious dogs and she does not get along well with animals. She's a bit fragile due to previous cancer so it's not like she can just "get over it" but I do NOT want my dog's introduction to the new baby to be getting thrown outside for a week. Also, it just doesn't seem like the best way to make this huge transition in our life. I'm going to breastfeed so I'll always have to leave the room or cover up when she's there which is just inconvenient. How do I approach this? She's not exactly someone I can just express my feelings with openly because she's very.... opinionated...
