My GP sent a referral letter to my local hospital. It takes 8 days to receive a response. Today I got my letter in the mail saying they can’t accept me because my bmi is too high and I’m considered high risk because of that! Now I most likely have to give birth at a shitty hospital that I heard horrific things about. I’m so upset 🤬 I am healthy otherwise, no high blood pressure/cholesterol. No diabetes. It’s just my weight that has stopped me. I’ve lost 80lbs before getting pregnant, and it’s like all my hard work was pointless. My GP said she’s sent people to that hospital who had a higher bmi than mine and got accepted. Now I’m wasting time - I’m 11 weeks this week I should be getting important tests done now, but now I have to wait probably another 3 weeks.
