how to get rid of lice ?

i’m freaking out please hellllp something THAT ACTUALLY works. 😭😭

This has worked for every person I have suggested it to. 
MATERIALS:
-Cheap grocery store olive oil
-A lice comb
-Hair ties and a pack of throw away plastic shower caps (the kind you use for hair dye)
-Towels
-Dawn dish soap, the original kind.
-Tea tree shampoo and conditioner (I suggest this kind, but use what works for you)
STEPS
Do this before bed
1:Completely cover your hair in olive oil, from root to end.
2: Take your lice comb and thoroughly comb out any lice and eggs. 
3: Tie your hair up and put it in a shower cap. Lay a towel on your pillow and go to bed.
4: In the Morning after you wake up, wash all of the olive oil out with the dawn dish soap. Then use your shampoo and conditioner.
4: Repeat every night for 7-10 days.

You have to smother them! Bag up pillows, blankets and anything you lay your head on. Treat your couch, bleach hairbrushes, and treat your hair multiple times.

I went on a mission trip to Peru and many people had lice there. We recommended vegetable oil or any kitchen oil that they had(we were in a really poor area) and wrapping their hair/head in bag to let it soak. The idea is to smother them. Mayo works too from what I have heard.

Any oil really will work. Even coconut oil! My best friend got it from her daughter so I helped her rid of them. They suffocate in the oil but also try the lice shampoo after. And wash EVERYTHING
