What is the hardest part about parenting teenagers?

I have 2 kids (1 and 4) and everytime I think of them being teenagers I freak out. My heart breaks with the thought of them saying they hate me or something like that.

The hardest part for me is realizing I can't make the choices for her. She falls a little and I can't run and fix it or distract her anymore. She is becoming her own person and has her own ideas. It never occurred to me that the future I dreamed for her wasn't exactly what she dreamed for herself.  I mean it did but when they really start making life plans, college plans, and yiu realize your not in charge...it's hard.
It's so worth it but I won't lie. Some days I miss my baby girl so much. The teen upstairs is still my baby girl but she definitely isn't little anymore.

Oh gosh I dread these days to come.... my 4 year old already acts like a teenager sometimes with her demands, and negotiating skills. If she’s this clever now, I can only imagine in 10 years!

I don’t have teens.  My mom says I was easy.  My bother was hard.

I haven’t raised any teens yet, but I had three younger siblings and my brothers were absolute nightmares. My sister is half and half. Hormones, ya know. But everyone is different
