Yes, you can have a primary insurance and supplemental insurance. Some people will have their primary cover majority cost (80% or whatever your plan says) and the supplemental will cover the remaining balance, so you don’t come out of pocket at all.

MediCal like state funded health insurance? You have to let them know you’re already insured if you are. They might not accept you if you’re already insured.

Usually if you are under someone else’s you won’t qualify for state insurance. If you have the option at your job for your own you can probably do both.

If you’re already on your mom’s insurance, you don’t need to be on another, unless you’re getting insurance through your job or something.

Depends on your income and such at least where I'm from. you can get state insurance as a secondary if you're income is in the allowed bracket.
