Ladies!! Is having a wedding ring important to you?  A friend of mine was recently asked from her fiancé. Why she wanted a ring so bad? And that made me think 🤔 why is a ring really that important. So now I’m curious. Is having a ring important to you and why?

So I actually just got engaged yesterday but personally I think that the ring symbolizes the commitment to your wife/husband. I will wear mine and my fiancé wants to wear his as well as more of a respect thing I think. But to reach their own!

I don't wear a wedding ring and neither does my husband. Everyone has different opinions. I like them, don't get me wrong. I know some People think that because a men/women wear a wedding ring, means they won't cheat.

I agree with the comment above, it’s what works for the couple. I have a wedding ring. But I didn’t marry him for it. And we used to not wear rings at all because they are just worrisome for me ( taking off when cleaning or lifting weights) so we recently ordered silicone ones off amazon. 
$5 and we love them

It's not important to me. 
Maybe it's because I don't really like jewelry anyways, but I never cared about having a ring. I have a silver band that my husband wanted, and I wear it for him, but I wouldn't be upset if he'd never given it to me.

It was important to me, but I could never really articulate why. I’m sure it was all wrapped up in how I was raised, and how we as a culture think about expectations around marriage. Which I think is legit. I don’t believe we need to be able to justify why cultural norms are important or meaningful to us, as long as we aren’t causing harm by perpetuating them. 
I have both an antique engagement ring (which we picked out together) and a very plain, platinum wedding band. I wear the band every day but only wear the engagement ring about 1/3 of the time. I love them both!

I want one to let other people know I’m taken and don’t even try to talk to me lol but I’m anti social and will avoid human contact at all costs. My boyfriend wants the rubber one to wear at work cause he’s the same way. However if he didn’t wanna wear one I wouldn’t care and same the other way. He also knows he could buy me a Walmart ring and I’d be happy. He has a max budget of $800 for my ring I swear if he spends more I’ll make him take it back. I don’t need a big fancy ring just not my style

Depends on the couple. Some don’t like wedding rings and that’s fine. 
My husband and I got the cheap silicone rings because they are comfortable. We both wanted rings because, to us, it’s a symbol of our marriage. A symbol that we are together and united. Plus, it lets other people know we are taken so it avoids any awkwardness of guys trying to hit on me. 
My grandparents don’t wear rings because they both don’t like jewelry. 
Everyone has different opinions on wedding bands.

I love it because it’s a visual signifier of our love and commitment to each other. I think I love it more than the engagement ring. Not for anti-cheating or anti-jealousy purposes, I just love being married to him so much I want the world to know. Having that plain metal band on my finger does just that for everyone to see :)
Same for him. It shows the world that he made a choice to love and commit to me, and now everyone he meets gets that little announcement of his love for me. Gets me all excited :)
