Are they talking about work? My fiance can spend hours on the phone with his female colleague but they're talking about work stuff. Like important work stuff they need to talk about. 
My fiance also has female friends he'll talk to. Last time he was on the phone with a girl it as for around a half hour talking about our recent engagement. I really don't think that's a bad thing at all unless 'were getting married' is code for 'lets meet up and have sex'. If he's flirting with her I wouldn't like that at all. But if it's a friendly conversation then whatever.
