Kidney Stent placed while pregnant!

I’m 27 weeks pregnant and there was a 4mm kidney stone on my right side that caused me SO much pain! I was in the hospital for 5 days with this agonizing pain, and was told it was only a bad UTI. (I didn’t buy that though!) On the 3rd day they finally did a CT scan and found that I’m passing a large (4mm) stone and that I have other tiny stones still high up in my kidney. My OB and urologist thought it’d be best to place a stent to help with urine flow.

I ended up passing the stone the night before the surgery, but I swear the pain almost doubled that night! I’m convinced there’s more stones. They placed the stent and sent me home- but I’m still in so much pain! All they prescribed is Oxycodone w/ Tylenol (Percocet) and it’s not doing a damn thing for pain! My pelvic area constantly hurts, my kidney/right side still hurts and it burns to pee!

My urologist said it’s to only stay in for a couple days, and it’ll be removed at the end of this week.

Has any other pregnant mommas gone through this?? How did you handle the pain? If your stent was removed shortly after being placed, did your pain go away?

(PS- I just had a smaller stone pass on my left side a month ago, and after I passed that stone the pain went away and didn’t come back. Yet with this side, after I passed it the pain intensified! Something can’t be right.)
