Process for IUI?

I just had my HSG (Hysterosalpingography) procedure done this morning and my tubes are clear! Yay!

Next steps is <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a>.

Can you please share with me your <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> experience? What needs to happen before the insemination? What kinds of cost did you incur? Outcome? What cycle are you on? Anything you can share, I welcome it!

I have done 3 IUI rounds, the process was: 
Call on first day of period, go to the office on the third day off full flow for a sonogram and blood test. Get a call later that day to confirm Clomid use. Take Clomid for 5 days. Have sex often. Test for ovulation if no positives go to office on assigned day with the donor to get another blood test and sonogram to check follicles. If all looks good a specimen is processed an inserted along with receiving a trigger shot. Return the next day for another insemenation. More sex, and fingers crossed and eventually either you go in for a pregnancy blood test or your period starts, and you start over. The insemenations were 350$ each. My insurance covered the sonograms.

This month I’m taking Cabergoline and prenatals this is our last cycle TTC naturally with clear blue ovulation sticks and preseed.
Next month our Fertility specialist is putting us on Femara ($14.00) and Follistim shots ($280 each I will need about 7) and an HCG shot to release our follicles ($125).
Our IUI will cost us ($575) and we will need 2 sonograms ($250 each) plus blood work ($30). We will be paying out of pocket because our insurance doesn’t cover.
Also, this will be our first IUI. A girlfriend of mine conceived triplets on these shots and it maximizes your chances of becoming pregnant. I decided to go a ahead and go full on the IUI. Might aswell since we are paying out of pocket. I want to get it right the first time! Oh, and I’m 21 with PCOS and my husband is 23.

I’m on my third cycle of IUI. I take femara 10mg day 3-7, ultrasound day 11, and then trigger typically day 11 or 12 and IUI 36 hours later. We’ve set up an IVF consult though, and plan to move to that if this cycle fails. Good luck! IUI is relatively easy, and for some works well! Ours costs about 400 total including meds, ultrasound and insemination

I had a clomid trigger iui. And a famera trigger iui. 
Neither worked. 
I ended up with IVF

My first cycle trying IUI after all the test came back great for both my hubby and I. I took letrozole 2,5 mg cycle day 3 - 7, had to test for ovulation starting day 10, went for my ultrasound on cycle day 12, got mature egg and got trigger shot on the same day. Implantation the next day, cycle day 13. Now I'm on my tww 😊😊😊

I did one natural (no meds) IUI, 2 IUIs with clomid plus HCG trigger and 1 IUI with letrozole plus HCG trigger. I had a chemical pregnancy on IUI #2 but all the other cycles failed. I am now doing an IVF cycle. IUI is not as invasive as IVF, minimal drugs and 2-3 sonograms/bloodwork.
