Do you find it hard being a POC and feminist?

I know this section isn’t active but this is something I’ve thought about. As a POC (I hate this term honestly) I find it hard to call myself a feminist. Why? Well my people have it rough. We are constantly discriminated and have to stick together and fight for our rights. I don’t see a white woman fighting for me and willing to help when she is going to help her own people **men** first. I know there’s intersectionalism, but I can’t see it at all. For me feminism benefits white women and will always be like that. What do you ladies think?

I am not a feminist. Feminism is for white women.  Patriarchy isn't the root of my oppression, white supremacy is.

Ok. So, I find myself as a black women leaning towards to egalitarianism but the fight for ALL women needs to carry on. Not just black, white, Hispanic, native american, Indian, Asian, Pacific islander, and so on. We need to stand together but not try not tear anyone else down.

I do agree. When people ask if I’m a feminist or if the matter is brought up, I say I don’t do white feminism. Or a lot of the time I say my loyalty lies with black women alone. Idk..I just know I do try to separate myself from White Feminism

I think there could possibly be sect of feminism in which it is intersectional but I don’t think the feminist movement as of late has been intersectional. I’ve seen it be hard on WOC to have to chose between women’s rights (reproductive rights and all that) and also between civil rights. The feminist movement from the beginning was not friendly to anyone except White women (notice how they only got the vote for white women in the 20s). Or that they talk about the wage gap but only that white women make 70¢ to a mans dollar. But they don’t talk about how much less any other women of color make compared to them. So I don’t think there is a right or wrong answer I think feminism is open to a large discussion of what it means. But one this is clear feminism isn’t truly about equality unless they are also involved in civil rights movements like (BLM or freeing kids at the border). 
I call myself a feminist in the idea that I believe in equality. But that has to go hand in hand with civil rights movements.

I'm an intersectional feminist bc I refuse to make the trauma of my white, Asian, or Hispanic sisters (and bros) seem inferior to my own trauma. Truly, it is quite racist to be like, "I'm not bc white man made it" ohk so what would you be saying if these "white feminists" were like, "I take the stairs bc elevators were invented by a black man. And the black man doesn't like white women"🙄😂

As an ally all I can say is sorry. It sucks and hurts so much to see fellow sisters suffer from exclusion from a movement that should be used to build women up.
I hate how every movement feels the need to tread someone underfoot in order to gain traction instead of by the merit of it's own causes. We need to listen to the crystal of all oppressed and use our actions to help right the wrongs that have been done.
