Having pizza for food at a wedding...smart or tacky?

You go to a wedding and they have boxes and boxes of pizza for food. What do you think? Pizza would make a wedding a whole lot cheaper

If you love pizza do it. If it’s about saving money. Don’t do the reception at a meal time and only do heavy appetizers...

Weddings are getting more and more unique and non traditional these days. Do whatever floats your boat! I think I’d love to have a food truck cater my wedding tbh haha. It’s unique, cheaper, people would get good food. It’s your day and anyone who judges your decisions can buzz off while you and your hunny eat pizza and start your happily ever after!

For a more casual reception, sure! Just mention it in the invites so people can plan accordingly.

If it fits the venue and you make sure to accommodate anyone who is lactose intolerant, then I say—smart!

My friend had a 25-guest backyard wedding with a portable pizza oven that came to make fresh hot pizza for everyone. It was awesome!! If you're doing a wedding in a ballroom or something, though, I think it'd be weird.

I’m not a fan at all. I think it would be cute as a late night snack. We served French fries, pulled pork sandwiches and sliders about an hour before the end of the reception. There are a lot of ways to have an inexpensive wedding. One would be just going to the courthouse. You could also just have a super small wedding.

I’d engorge myself on pizza. 
I also wouldn’t judge anyone for what they do at their wedding - it’s THEIR wedding. If the best night of your life is something you want to enjoy with pizza - GO FOR IT!

I think it would depend on the type of wedding. A formal one where everyone is dressed up and in a ballroom, it would be really out of place. A more casual wedding, I think it would be fine. I’ve been to a wedding in a park and the reception was held at a pizza place across the street in their banquet room and it was fun and laid back, and  it was completely the couple’s style.
