Maybe my dates are off? Worried

Question

I had an early ultrasound and there was a gestational sac measuring 3-4 weeks but I thought I was further along. I go back August 1st. I recently had a missed miscarriage in February. So it really scared me. Has this happened to anybody else and did you have a healthy pregnancy?

This happened to me earlier this year. I fell pregnant in February and couldn't wait for the 12 week scan. 
I booked an early pregnancy scan in a private clinic at 8 weeks. The scan showed a heartbeat but with a gestational sac with embryo measuring only around 5 weeks. I was referred to the early pregnancy unit as I was certain of my dates, who advised me to wait for the 12 week scan instead of rescanning me the following week. 
I was told at the 12 week scan that I'd had a missed miscarriage as there was no longer an embryo, just a 7 week sized sac. 
I was advised to go home and let nature take its course, which didn't happen and I ended up having surgical intervention in May at what would have been 14 weeks. 
It felt like it had dragged on much longer than necessary. If only they had rescanned me sooner. 
I hope this will be a different outcome for you, however if you're like me and certain of your dates it could be very similar. 
On a positive note I only waited one cycle after the operation to ttc again and today I got my bfp for my rainbow baby due in March.

I thought I was further along then what I was and when I went it was JUST a sac no yolk no baby. Was advised baby wasn’t there and looked like a blighted ovum I was measuring a little over 5 weeks (first picture) . Now I’m 23 weeks and this was my ultrasound from Tuesday (second picture) Give baby some time to grow 3-4 weeks you should see nothing maybe a sac of you’re lucky.
