Anyone else live with cats but allergic???

I have one cat that I’ve gotten use to a bit so my allergies to it aren’t terrible anymore but we plan to get another one this weekend. Anyone on here allergic to cats but have multiples??

Just got 2 kittens maybe around a month ago, broke out in hives too! Went to see an allergist and turns out I'm allergic to cats yet I've been around them since I was born 🤔 Moved out of my mom's house and left her with my 5 cats. Anyways I'm not getting rid of them 😂

My sister and I both have cats (we live in different houses) she’s fine with her cats, but mine? Oh hell no lol her eyes swell, can’t breathe. It’s dander that causes allergies. And cats produce different types. So you might be fine.

3 cats and my brother is allergic. he just take zertec daily to help with it.
