3 weeks late!

I am currently 3 weeks late for my period. I took an at home test about a week ago and got a negative result but still no period... any suggestions on what could be going on or what I should do ladies? I'm ttc so I'm hoping it's good news once I figure out what the hecks going on with my body. 😞
