Doctor advice

My fiancé and I have been TTC for a year now. I am 21 and he is 24, both healthy other than infertility. I KNOW that I’m not ovulating. I have been tracking my cycles for a year and a half now with OPKs, bbt, and obviously glow. My OBGYN and primary doctor have gone through every hormone you could imagine, ultrasounds, std testing, and sperm testing. They did find that my TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) was a little high so they put me on medicine and had now in normal range. My primary doctor, who has been my doctor since I was about 12, is totally on my side thinking that Metformin and Clomid would help. So about 5 months ago she prescribed me Metformin to try to regulate my cycles and said she could refer me to a fertility clinic after 7 months of not conceiving. So I could go to a fertility clinic but because of insurance reasons I want to try Clomid first because again, I KNOW I’m not ovulating. My OBGYN says that my body will get back to normal and my unexplained infertility was most likely because of my thyroid issue. I have asked and asked about Clomid and she, for whatever reason, will not prescribe it. My thyroid levels are FINE and have been for months yet I haven’t had a period for 3 months. I just wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience. Should I try another doctor? Should I just trust her? I’m very confused and heartbroken. We want a baby so bad, but I know that it can’t happen with my irregular periods and not ovulating.

TIA for reading this long post and replying 🙏🏼
