Birth control for acne

Hi friends!

Lately my hormonal acne has been flaring up. It doesn’t seem to go away completely and I have all this unwanted texture around my chin. I am doing a skincare routine for targeting it but also want to know if anyone has used the pill for acne and if it works?

Also I think it would be nice just to be on birth control but I’m 22 & have never used it before because I’ve heard so many horror stories about weight gain & depression while on the pill.

What do you ladies think or recommend?
