fleas !!!! 18 weeks pregnant!!!

My boyfriend and i did a favor for a friend and let her cat stay with us until she found a place ( she was kicked out ). Everything has been fine she found a place and the cat left with her. its been about 2 weeks since she took the cat and i noticed a huge amount of bumps on my leg and thought maybe its a rash... one day i lmwas sitting wearing a yellow shirt and i saw a little black spec! it was a flea. I been through a flea infestation before as a teen so i knew wearing white socks could tell me how bad it is. Wore socks and immediately found lots of them. My boyfriend will be fumigating the house tomorrow... we dont have animals so we dont have to worry about that. we do however have to worry about our clothes i plan on washing them. I already have been bitten pretty badly on my leg. Has anyone been through this and still had a healthy baby. I googled ( like a dummy) and apperantly fleas carry disease !!!

p.s i know how to take care of the fleas an exterminator will be my last resort after the fumigation
