Amber necklaces?

Before I ask this, I don’t need any hate. Obviously I hold my child’s safety over fashion ect. But I’m jut asking how you guys feel about infants/newborns wearing amber teething/pain reducing/calming necklaces?
My child will def wear them; I love them, they have great benefits and we’ll, they’re cute🤷🏼‍♀️ But it says on the warning to always supervise an infant when they wear it & take it off anytime they sleep.

There’s no scientific proof they work. And the risks are real (regarding strangulation).  
So IMO: the cons outweigh the pros. We don’t use them. We were given a very nice one as a gift and I still won’t use it.

I read an article from another user on here that the amount they have to absorb for it to do anything can't be absorbed from those necklaces or bracelets, and are basically not worth it.

As a purchaser in the gemstone industry, I’m exceedingly skeptical of the quality of these necklaces. A $15 retail necklace is not going to be good quality amber at all, and there’s no research to back the idea that even the purest amber would provide any teething relief.

I personally am to nervous of a person to use them and from everything I've read they arnt worth the money as they make no real difference but who knows.., I just use regular teether and freeze them I also got the Sophie the giraffe teether which is awesome, they have teething necklaces for moms that the baby can chew on while there sitting with you and I've found those to be cool

Me personally won’t be using them, but I have friends who use them and swear they work, I don’t know if they follow the directions but I definitely would if I used them.

My son has worn one since he was 3 months old (he's almost 3 now) and had never been without it on. He has slept with it on and I never worried about him chocking on it or from wearing it. I made sure that it was a good fit (meaning I can get my fingers in between his neck and the necklace but it's not so big that he can put it in his mouth). The only time I take it comes off is when hes in the bath tub or going to play in his pool.

My son had one we put it around his ankle though not his neck and my niece has one around her wrist not on the neck.. I just wasn't comfortable with it around his neck. I'm not sure if it really works but I didn't have any teething problems with my son. It seemed to work for him. He wasn't cranky or fussy at all when he teethed he only ended up with a fever when he did have his bottom two coming in and that was it.

I’ve been wanting to get my daughter one because I hear so many great things. My boyfriend on the other hand is afraid she will choke on it or something... honestly if I’m still thinking about getting one because as the warning says to watch the kid and if all goes good keep it if not I’ll throw it away. But I rather try anything to help my daughter out of pain as she’s been teething since 2months (she’s 5months now)

I tried one and honestly didn't see any benefits. I always put it on her ankle when she was sleeping to be safe.

My son has been wearing his since he was 2-3 months old and has never had a problem. He is 2.5 years old now. It definitely helped with teething and I will definitely getting one for my daughter coming in a couple of days
