Cracked nipples ?!

Question

I don’t breastfeed my baby because i have cracked nipples, and everytime i feed him i was in so much pain and bleeding
But yesterday, after i feed him, he throw it up all and have so much blood in it. I was freaked out and i told the doctor for what happened. He said it was from my cracked nipples. So i stoped breastfeeding till my nipples will be ok and i hope he will continue to drink milk from me.
How much time take to get healed cracked nipples ?! Any experience from you guys

Your milk will dry up . If you're adamant to breastfeed you need to breastfeed through that pain. There are creams or there is also prescription nipple creams if it gets that's bad. ( I have that because mine are bad. I scream everytime my daughter latches fir rhe fiest 2 mins) You have to breastfeed through it.

No no no don’t stop! It’s okay. I’ve had this. Get some cream, let your nipples air dry naturally and leave some breast milk on the cracked area. Vaseline will help any chaffing, apply that after your cream

If you stop feeding, you run the risk of mastitis and/or your milk drying up. I had badly bruised and cracked nipples as my daughter had trouble latching on my flat nipples. We had to use a shield did the first few weeks. The shield helped protect my nipples and allowed them to heal, and it also helped my daughter to latch correctly. Lanolin/nipple cream can help your nipples in between feeds.  A correct/deep latch should not cause damage to your nipples. I would recommend a lactation consultant to help you with your breastfeeding. There may be one available at your hospital. If you can't see one there are some great resources online at kellymom.com, la leche league or Australian Breastfeeding Association.

ya don't stop it'll get better and BF will be uncomfortable but will help, have lots of quick body showers and use the cream and milk.

Pump to give your nipple break. Also, soak your nipple in warm water with sea salt. That worked for me. It’s recommended to do it a couple times a day for 2-3 mins. I filled shot glasses and placed them on my nipples. 🤣

Mine cracked and bled. Nipple shield and polysporin. It's so hard at first, but it will get better. Hang in there!💕
