What did you let your newborn/infant sleep in through the night?

Question

Having trouble getting my baby to sleep even 2 hours straight after putting down in a pac and play. What do you let your newborns sleep in at night?

The first few weeks she would only sleep in her rock and play. At about 6 weeks she transitioned into the bassinet. She started sleeping in her crib at 11 weeks!

We spent as much time outside as possible so she learned day/night. And we used a swaddle pod.

My son is 3 months old and has been sleeping through the night since 8 weeks. I didn’t do anything really to make him start sleeping longer. I let him sleep when he wants to sleep during the day. The only difference is during the day, I always have background noise and at night time, it’s completely silent. 
Bedtime routine goes as follows:
Bottle at 8:30 pm 
Sleep until 10:30 pm
Wake up to change diaper, put on baby oil, change into pajamas
Very warm bedtime bottle at 10:45-11 pm
Bedtime
He sleeps in a bassinet next to our bed and sleeps until 6:30-7 am. 
I’m a first time mama. I’m just winging all of this and I guess it’s working 😂

My son is 7 weeks old. At night he sleeps in his bassinet next to my bed. He usually sleeps in 3hr lots. We have a routine where we bath him, feed him & put him in his bassinet after 7:30pm, some nights he will sleep 3hrs, a few he has done 5hrs & one night he slept 7hrs. It just depends.
Once he reaches around 6 months we will transition him to his crib in his room.

My daughter is four months old now, but in the beginning she slept in a Rock n Play Smart Connect. We transitioned her to her crib about a month ago. 
She goes down at 730p, wakes up at 130a and 530a to eat, then is up for the day around 8a. She’s been that way since we came home from the hospital.

Swaddling might help. My newborn sleeps in his pack n play but is swaddled in a muslin blanket so his arms can be up by his face. He wakes up every 1.5 - 2.5 hours to eat- that's very typical of infants.

That's pretty typical for a newborn. My son usually goes about 2 hours before he either messes his diaper or wants to eat again. Do you swaddle? He usually sleeps ok swaddled but he's a roller and moves so much when he sleeps and the only thing keeping him from rolling over is his arm so we stopped swaddling and introduced a pacifier and that seems to help out

Our son slept in a bassinet next to our bed for the first 2 months. Waking up every 2 hours is normal for a newborn, though. Can you try getting a different mattress for your pack n play?

we used a swing or her carseat and used a swaddling wrap. she had bad colic and acid reflux because she was lactose intolerant. once we switched to sit formula she slept much better

Rock and play worked wonders for us. My daughter was sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at a week old.
