Are Dockatots Worth the $?

Question

Nordstrom’s is having their annual sale today and I can get a Dockatot at a decent price. Are they worth it?? Pros? Cons?

Yes my son absolutely loves his. We’ve brought it to the beach with us. Hands down definitely worth the $$$

Yes! We are hanging out watching tv right now and my son is soundly sleeping in his dock a tot. I think the walls make him feel secure when he starts to stretch out so he stays asleep longer. We only use it for supervised sleep. It’s compact and convenient. Love it!

Yes... except we broke the rules and it’s in my son’s crib.  He likes the comfort of the walls being close to him. He doesn’t like to sleep/lay in open spaces.   We love ours and it’s the only way we got him to sleep through the night.

Yes. 
It was the best! Napping in other rooms of the house.. Take to grandmas house... Take to hotel... Sleep next to momma when little guy got the flu... In the bathroom floor napping while mom showered... Outside...  and he was use to being on his back and flat so it was an easy transfer to bassinet or crib. And when we wanted to cosleep it was a safe option.

For us, it's worth it. My husband and I find it so convenient, especially when our daughter was really young. When she was sleeping, we could lay her down and get things done. We didn't use it as a co-sleeper (except the first three nights) because we had a Halo Bassinet for overnight sleeping in the early months. However, we have the Dockatot downstairs for daytime naps. She mostly take naps during the day in her Pack-N-Play because it's in my office, but sometimes she takes them in her Dockatot if we're in the livingroom. Our daughter used the Dockatot Deluxe until she was around four months. We now have the Dockatot Grand. We love it! It's easy to transport. My husband and I took it on our last two flights with us and we take it on every road trip. The Snuggle Nest Sleeper is better for traveling, but she's too big and old for that now so we take the Dockatot now. For us, it's worth the money. Our daughter loves it!!! However, the decision is up to you.

Nope...not unless you plan on co-sleeping. I refused to let my children sleep in my bed EVER! So it wasn’t worth it at all for me to get one. Spent the money on a 4 moms momma roo instead

For 0-3 months daytime lounging/put down spot I loved our auto rock n play. It was stationed in our living room. Nighttime baby went in the bassinet next to my bed. It worked well for us.

I’ve been wondering the same thing, but we have a pack and play with the infant add on. I’m not sure if that’ll do or if the dockatot is actually worth the money
