Went in for my first cervical check and she was going to strip my membranes if she could. Well my cervix is posterior and only 1cm on the outside and closed on the inside. I'm 40 + 2 today.

We are now scheduled for an induction Monday morning at 6 am. I'm having mixed emotions about it all.

On the one hand I'm so excited to meet my son and finally get to have him here, but I'm sad that my body didn't go into labor on its own. Plus I'm scared of an induced labor for the pain aspect. We are inducing because he is getting really big. I know there is a chance I could go into labor this weekend but I have had zero signs except irregular practice contractions despite my best efforts to get things moving.

My husband keeps trying to remind me that everything will happen the way it is supposed too, but I just feel like a failure.
