Pubic Hair? Shave VS Trim

I heard that it is not the best for people to shave their pubic hair. That it helps protect your body. But what if you trim your pubic hair? Does that effect your body? Is there a benefit or disadvantage?

I usually just trim because everytime I shave I experience lots of itchiness and redness.

I shave when I am going to have sex (personal preference) but if I’m not having sex I’ll just trim or not do anything to avoid any unnecessary irritation like razor burn or ingrown hairs, pubic hair is our natural defense against dirt and other things that should not get into or around our vagina but we now have clothes and underwear that also keep us safe so if you want to shave go for it and if your worried you can always talk to a obgyn about possible risks.

I use coca butter nair. Shaving causes to many problems for me and some people say nair is dangerous but so is taking a razor blade scraping off hair in ya pubic area. I nonlonger get ingrowns, nicks, cuts, razor burn, cyst or boils. If u shave use hair conditioner and a name brand three blade razor not cheapy razors.
