Bruised Feeling in Belly?

FTM going on 36w. Lately, I’ve noticed that sometimes my belly feels bruised, even though it in fact isn’t. It most often occurs a bit to the upper right of my belly button. Has anyone else experienced this? What is the cause of it? Is it just from baby kicking?

I had pain in this exact spot and asked about it- My midwife referred to this as a “hot spot” where baby is putting pressure on that one area and causing soreness from the inside- she said it’s completely normal

I literally have a bruise two inches around my whole belly button. he is literally bruising me from the inside out. I'm 31 +4.

Yes same here. Mine comes and goes and it’s a few inches directly above my belly button. Almost feels like a torn muscle sometimes. I’m assuming it’s baby moving things around in there.
