Mixed feelings - Looking for opinions

I hired a birth photographer to capture the whole experience for me and my husband, but now I'm feeling guilty and a bit sad.

It's only going to be me and my husband in the delivery room, and we'll invite both sets of our parents to visit a few hours later. I know my mom would LOVE to be in the room to witness the birth of her first grandchild but I really want to share that experience with just my husband.

Now I'm questioning things and wondering if it's offensive that I'd invite a stranger into the room to photograph and witness my baby's birth, but not my own mother. I haven't told her we're having a birth photographer yet and I hesitate to tell her at all. I'm worried she'll be offended and sad and I obviously don't want to hurt her. She's been very helpful and generous throughout my pregnancy and she's told me that she's only a phone call away during labor if I need anything.

Is it selfish of me to have a birth photographer in the room but not my mother? Or am I just overthinking the whole thing? 🤷🏻‍♀️
